Gas Safety Inspections

Annual gas safety checks are a legal requirement as per the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 for all commercial gas catering equipment.

Every 12 months, a Gas Safe registered engineer must complete a gas safety check on all gas appliances, flues, pipework and safety devices to maintain a safe condition.

What happens if you don’t get a gas inspection?

  • Unchecked appliances pose a risk of potential gas leaks
  • High levels of carbon monoxide can escape, leading to CO poisoning
  • Non-compliance could affect any insurance claim

As a Gas Safe registered company, we have the knowledge and expertise to carry out these essential checks and provide you with formal Gas Safe Certification.

Avoid facing penalties or prosecution, and book a gas inspection with Alecta today. Call us on 01425 473956

Electrical Safety Inspections

Poor electrical maintenance is often a cause of accidents and in an environment with high demand for the electrical system, a failure can mean chaos for you.

While the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) recommends an electrical inspection every 12 months, you may need to carry them out more frequently in line with individual manufacturer instructions, demands on appliances and environments in which they are situated.

If you don’t service your electrical services regularly, they could present:

  • A chance of accidental electrocution
  • A fire hazard
  • A risk of life
  • Malfunctions of the appliance
  • Burns
  • Explosions

We have electrical inspection specialists who can carry out and provide you with a comprehensive report on your appliances and installations. Book an electrical safety inspection with one of our trained engineers by calling 01425 473956.

F Gas Safety Inspections

If you are using refrigeration or air conditioning equipment, it is likely that it uses refrigerants or LGP gases.

As part of the UK & The European Union’s commitment to controlling F-Gas emissions and the Kyoto Protocol, F-Gas Inspections have become a requirement.

These inspections aim to:

  • Minimise emissions of refrigerant
  • Contain the gas
  • Reduce chances of leaks
  • Repair and recover issues as soon as possible

F-Gas safety is the responsibility of the caterer, operator & users, and different weights of the gas and components will require different actions. Therefore, it is imperative your staff know what type of machinery they are working with and how to deal with any F-Gas leaks. Our team is able to provide support to you and your team on this, should you need it.

Our certified and qualified technicians can also complete regular F-Gas safety inspections, check for leaks and carry out correct and safe recovery of the gases to ensure they’re recycled, reclaimed or destroyed in the correct manner.

Speak to our expert team to learn more about F-Gas inspection requirements and book an inspection today. Call us on 01425 473956.
